Step By Step 5k Fun Run/Walk and Kids' Half Mile Super Hero Dash

LOCATION: Calvert Marine Museum, 14200 Solomons Island Road, Solomons, Maryland

The Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse, Inc. (CAASA) presents the 19th Annual Step By Step 5K Fun Run/Walk and 2nd Annual Kids’ Half Mile Super Hero Dash on Saturday, November 2nd. The race is held in memory of Mike Blackwell, an avid runner, killed while jogging on Broomes Island Road. To honor his memory and commitment to living a healthy lifestyle, Mike’s family allows us to hold the race in his memory to help raise funds for local prevention education programs and activities.

Step By Step - The 3.1 mile (MD 12024JS) begins and ends at the Calvert Marine Museum covering scenic Solomons on hard roads and through residential areas. No dogs or pets. Strollers are allowed. Refreshments provided to all participants. Door Prizes! Awards for runners in all age categories and t-shirts for the first 100 registrants. $40 day of registration
$20 Student (18 and under)
$25 CAASA Member - advance only
$25 CBRC Member - advance only

Super Hero 1/2 Mile Dash - the 1/2 mile dash is for children ages 6 and younger. Participants will run on the grassy area just beside the Calvert Marine Museum Parking lot. No dogs or pets. Parents are allowed on the course with their children. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite super hero costume (be sure it’s safe to run in). Super Hero Dash participants do not receive a t-shirt. Best costume wins a $25 gift card. Awards for runners in all age categories.
